La société "Le Jouet Français" est fondée en 1944 qui deviendra, vers les années 50, JOUEF. A partir de 1952, une gamme complète est lancée et ne cessera de s'étoffer. Malheureusement, à partir des années 70, Jouef va connaitre de nombreux rachats jusqu'à la fermeture définitive en 2001 de l'usine de Champagnole.
